OUR PHOENIX VACATION

Unfortunatly I did not take alot of pictures of our vaction to Amy's house. I don't have my own camera. I had to use mothers. We enjoyed our vacation very much. We want to bring our Grand kids up here next summer. We love our family very much.

Ben and Eric. It was good to see Ben. We have missed him very much. We had a good time swimming and having fun with the Grand kids.

Sam and Shawdow

One the way home from Phoenix we went home by way of Flagstaff and then strait north through Utah. We went over this dam and over this beautiful canyon. It is the start of the Grand Canyon and the other side of Lake Powell.

BEAUTIFUL LUNCHEON

This week we had some friends over for lunch. I decided to use my Grandmother Amy's China that what given to me when she died several years ago. The linen was Eric's Mother's. It was a pleasant time. I fixed a shrimp salad and my favorite roll recipe. I made an almond cookie and fresh raspberrie custard ice cream. Mom invited her friend Carol and I invited my friend Cindy. Andrea was the 5th. It was a great afternoon. I hope to that more often to get to know more people in the ward.

OUR NEW HOUSE

Just another picture of the house. I wish there was more daylight so you can see the flowers. I will have to take another one later.

This is the back side of our house. We love our vinyl fence. We plan to extend our deck the length of our house.

THE SWAN

In my kitchen there is one thing that has got to go soon. It is our kitchen faucet. We call it the swan. It is huge. It blocks the view to the outside. When you turn the water on, it turns itself off. But people must like it because when we were looking at houses it was in half of the houses we looked at.

This the kitchen, where of course I do alot of work. It is not like my old kitchen which was my dream kitchen. But I will be putting new appliances in this one. I will probably put new counter tops and back splashes and new floors in one of these days. I won't change the cupboards because these are good oak cupboards.

The closets on the right side of kitchen are pantries. So I have 2 large pantries in the kitchen and another double closet in the laundry right off the kitchen that Eric put shelves in for me to put my cookbooks and baking pans and crock pots in. It has an outlet in it so my wheat grinder is also in the closet.

THE NEW HOUSE

Here is one of the new roses I planted in our garden. It is called "golden dejon". I have managed to relandscaped the yard already. It has been fun. There will be more pictures. I promise not to leave a 5month gap next time.

The dining room is still our largest room in the house. I can't wait to get rid of the wall paper. It will happen when I have a plan. Right now it is livable.

We put mom's hope chest in the entry way. We hoped it would fit and it did.

This is the right side view of the living room.

This is the left side of living room.

Pictures of our back yard. This is the right view from deck and the next picture is left corner from the deck.

THE OUTSIDE WORLD

Our cats Angel and Charlie haven't been allowed outside until lately. So their only link to the outside was to look out the front door. I love our screen door. It allows them to watch the world and stay locked in. The neighbors have enjoyed watching them also. They are good cats and only drive us crazy 90% of the time. It is good to back on line again.
