DEAR FRIENDS CAME A CALLIN!!!!

Thursday night I received a phone call from my dear friend Elaine. We haven't seen each other for a couple of years. They asked if they could come over.Of course they could. What fun we had this weekend.Working our buns off. It was great. Then they were off visiting their daughter in Montana.Thankyou Bob and Elaine for a really great and fun weekend. Can't wait till we can see you again.

PUTTING THE NEW DRAIN IN!

Bob and Eric decided to put screen on the end of the new pipe so our cat would not decide to get herself stuck in it.Would she do that? You betcha!!!!!

The yard has always had a mushy spot. All right, a big mushy spot. I woke up Saturday morning last and found 1 inch of water standing. Bob started digging and found that the builder had put drain pipe in ground to drain off the excess water but only put about 10ft long. So for 10ft the water backed up and caused a swamp. When Eric got home from work they dug a trench and buried a pipe to the end of our yard and now the water drains. We still have a water mystery, but thats for later.

DEAR FRIENDS WORKING TOGETHER

Because we had to rip up the yard to fix the swamp in the yard. We thought we might as well lay the brick while we were at it.

We found the brick at a local brick yard. We wanted something that would compliment the stone. The brick has iron in it.When it is wet, it is either burgandy or navy blue. The top is really rough. Unless you look close you can't tell where one ends and one begins. It turned out beautiful.

BEAUTIFUL STONE!!!!

Prepareing and planting stone. We started to run out of stone in the middle of the project so ran to the "Sunrise Stone" supply center just as they were closing and bought what we needed to finish the project. Of course we had a thunder storm in the middle of the project. Heavy rain caused to go in the house for awhile. We stopped to have dinner. We finished just before it got to dark outside.

The beautiful entrance into the garden. This is the finished product. We had alot of fun putting this puzzle together. What a way for really great friends to end their fun but very productive weekend together.
